Women in Pakur celebrated their achievements while calling for greater equality and recognition.

The celebration, organized by Active Citizens South Sudan and supported by Norwegian People’s Aid, brought together more than 100 participants.

International Women’s Day, observed every year on March 8, recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide.

Participants said the event also served as a reminder of the continued work needed to ensure women’s rights and opportunities.
