Joseph Ssewali, a tireless and talented attacking forward, was named July’s best footballer. As captain of the Ssingo Ssaza team, Ssewali’s impressive performance included scoring 5 out of the 8 goals his team achieved in 4 games. His remarkable efforts led Ssingo to the top of the 2024 Masaza Cup competition, with 10 points in July and 11 points from 5 games in the group stage’s first round. Ssewali outshone competitors such as Bululi’s Robert Ssewanyana, who netted three goals, and Enock Kabuuka to secure this honor.

Rugby

Arone Ofoyrwoth was recognized as the best rugby player for July, celebrating his exceptional skills and significant contributions to the sport. His dedication and standout performance have set a high standard in the rugby community, earning him this well-deserved accolade.

Boxing

Sulaiman Ssegawa, a WBC winner, was named the best boxer of the month. Ssegawa faced minimal competition for the award, underscoring his dominance and exceptional performance in the boxing ring. His skill and determination have made him a standout figure in the sport.
