The Natete Territorial Police in Kampala has sadly reported a devastating incident of murder by shooting that occurred at 6pm on Sunday evening in Kikandwa Zone, Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division. The victim, Mr. Daniel Bbosa, was a highly respected figure, serving as the head of Ndiga Clan and holding the position of director at Transa Electrical. Mr. Bbosa was fatally shot by unidentified assailants as he approached his residence. The perpetrators, riding on a motorcycle, opened fire on Mr. Bbosa’s vehicle, which bore the registration number UAH 637X, resulting in his tragic and immediate death. Amid the chaos, a courageous local resident intervened, causing the assailants’ motorcycle to crash and alerting the community. Consequently, community members rallied together, leading to a confrontation with the assailants. During the confrontation, one assailant was killed at the scene, while the other remains in critical condition.
Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigyire, stated, “The motive behind this senseless act of violence remains unknown, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.” He further added, “We have recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the murder, along with the motorcycle bearing registration number UEX 754E, which was used by the assailants during the attack. These discoveries will be crucial in our ongoing investigation.”
