The bodies of Twaha Namwoyo, 38, and his wife, Nasim Katooko, 27, were discovered lifeless in their compound, their bodies bearing brutal wounds and surrounded by blood, sending shockwaves throughout the village.

As authorities work tirelessly to uncover the motives behind this senseless act, a relentless search for the perpetrators is underway, with fear and apprehension gripping the entire area.

Samuel Semewo, the North Bukedi Regional Police Spokesperson, expresses grave concern over the resurgence of violent attacks in the region, prompting heightened vigilance among law enforcement agencies. Initial reports indicate a prompt response from the police following a distress call from Charles Namba, a district councilor from Tirinyi Sub County, marking the beginning of a meticulous investigation.

At the crime scene, investigators meticulously collect evidence, including a blood-stained axe and two knives, crucial pieces in reconstructing the sequence of events leading to the tragic demise of the couple. Witness statements are diligently recorded, and the victims’ bodies are transferred to Mbale Regional Hospital for detailed examination by the police surgeon.
